Team Invitations and Team Management
Overview
BowlBoard supports team workflows for both invited teammates and team captains.
The current app has separate pages for:
- accepting or declining team invitations
- managing a team after registration
- guest-team invite follow-up when the captain stayed in guest mode
Review Team Invitations
How To Access It
Signed-in users can open My Invitations from BowlBoard's tournament area.
What the page shows
For each invite, BowlBoard shows:
- team name
- tournament and event
- squad date and time
- entry fee information
- bowling center
- who invited you
Actions
- Accept invite
- Decline
- Tournament page
Manage A Team As Captain
How To Access It
The team captain can open Manage team from the squad page or other team links.
What you can do
The current Manage Team page lets captains:
- review current members
- see paid markers
- remove unpaid members
- review pending invitations
- revoke pending invitations
- invite additional members
- transfer the captain role to another confirmed teammate
Guest Captain Workflow
If the captain registered as a guest, BowlBoard can show a separate guest invite page where the captain sends teammate emails without the full signed-in management page.
That guest page tracks:
- slots left
- confirmed teammates
- pending invitations
What Happens Next
- Accepted invites fill roster slots.
- Pending invites still count toward roster capacity.
- Captains can return later to add more members if open slots remain.
Notes
- The current UI states that pending invites and confirmed teammates both count toward roster size.
- Team invitations and roster changes lock when the registration cutoff has passed.
- Only confirmed teammates can become the new captain during a captain transfer.
Troubleshooting
I cannot invite more bowlers
The team may already be full, or the registration cutoff may have locked roster changes.
I want to transfer captain rights
Open Manage Team and use Transfer captain role. The new captain must already be a confirmed teammate.
