Request Tournament Director Access
Overview
Use this workflow when your organization is not already in BowlBoard and you need director access so you can create tournaments.
If the organization already exists in BowlBoard, existing directors still need to coordinate manager or director access through support.
Before You Begin
- Create your BowlBoard account first.
- Have your organization's public contact details ready.
- Decide which participant fields your organization requires beyond first and last name.
- If you have a referral link or code, keep it ready before you submit.
Roles
- Tournament director: organization-level access, including tournaments, organization settings, credits, and verification.
- Tournament manager: can manage existing tournaments, but cannot create new organizations or create tournaments unless they are also a director.
Steps
Request access for a new organization
- Open Request Tournament Director Access.
- If you have a referral link or referral code, use it before or during the form.
- Enter the organization name.
- Enter the public contact information shown on the form:
- contact first name
- contact last name
- contact email
- contact phone
- contact address
- contact website
- Choose any additional participant fields your tournaments require:
- Require email
- Require phone
- Require address
- Require USBC ID
- Add any helpful notes in Additional info if the organization needs special review context.
- Click Submit Request.
Request access to an existing organization
- Register your BowlBoard account first.
- Ask an existing director for that organization to contact BowlBoard support.
- The support request should include your name and the email address tied to your BowlBoard account.
What Happens Next
- BowlBoard reviews new organization requests manually.
- Once approved, the organization appears under Management -> Organizations.
- After approval, directors can open Tournaments and click Create Tournament.
- After approval, the detailed manager setup guides are available from Help inside BowlBoard.
Notes
- The new-organization request form does not currently expose self-service manager assignment for existing organizations.
- Required participant fields can be changed later in Organization Settings, but those changes only affect future registrations.
- Referral links and referral codes are tied to organization credit rewards after approval.
Troubleshooting
I submitted the request, but I still cannot see Management
Wait for approval first. The management area does not fully open until access has been granted.
I need manager access, not a new organization
Do not submit a new organization request if the organization already exists. Use the existing-organization access path instead.
